Meet Your Therapists
Creating a safe space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered to create lasting change in Ottawa and virtually across Ontario
At Inner Core Psychotherapy, you will work with experienced Registered Psychotherapists, each with more than a decade of clinical experience, advanced graduate education, and specialized trauma training. Mary Jane Beavis and Amarylis Serrano Juárez both hold a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality and a Graduate Diploma in Couple Counselling. They are Certified Canadian Counsellors (CCCs), Somatic Experiencing Practitioners (SEPs), and trained in Complex Trauma Certification Levels I and II.
As licensed Registered Psychotherapists, we help individuals navigate life's challenges, heal from difficult experiences, and reconnect with themselves and their relationships. We believe therapy goes beyond understanding what happened; it is about facilitating lasting change, building resilience, and helping you feel calmer, more connected, and more like yourself again.

Honouring the land, its history, and the communities we serve
We acknowledge that Inner Core Psychotherapy is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. We honour the Algonquin people, who maintain a deep connection to and stewardship of these lands and waters today.
We recognize the ongoing effects of colonization and understand the importance of acknowledging the histories, experiences, and wisdom of Indigenous Peoples. We are committed to continuous learning, fostering respect, and creating a therapeutic space where individuals feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
