Our Beginning
A shared passion for making quality mental health care more accessible
Before establishing Inner Core Psychotherapy, we dedicated over a decade to supporting individuals, couples, and families through some of life's most challenging experiences. Mary Jane served as a Registered Psychotherapist and spiritual care practitioner at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH). At the same time, Amarylis worked as a Registered Psychotherapist at the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO), helping newcomers and diverse communities.
Through our experiences, we recognized the urgent need for accessible and specialized mental health support. We observed how challenging it could be for individuals to find timely care, especially when dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and significant life transitions.
Inner Core Psychotherapy was created to bridge this gap by providing more accessible, compassionate, and trauma-informed therapy. We focus on personalized care that honours each person's unique story, strengths, and journey toward healing.

Witnessing healing, reconnection, and lasting change
It is an honour to walk alongside individuals as they heal, reconnect with themselves, and strengthen the relationships that matter most to them.
We are inspired by the courage it takes to explore challenging experiences, develop a deeper understanding of oneself, and create lasting change. Witnessing clients become calmer, more connected, and hopeful as they navigate life's challenges is what makes this work so rewarding.
